What to Expect from Beach Clubs in Marbella
Marbella is known as one of the most luxurious destinations along the Andalucia coastline and the prices of the Marbella beach clubs tend to reflect that.
If you simply want to enjoy the beaches in the Costa del Sol, head to some of the best beaches in Malaga or drive along the coast and pack your own chairs and umbrella.
Going to a beach club in Marbella is about enjoying a full experience, not just going to the beach. In fact, many of the beach clubs in Marbella aren’t actually on the beach, but rather, around the pool. You can see the beach, but the part happens around the pool instead of on the sand.
Marbella is the place to come with friends or your partner and treat yourself to a day of relaxation, great drinks, delicious food, and amazing views.
You can expect to have to pay a fee to rent the chairs or beds. If you are visiting during the summer months and you want to go to a beach club in Marbella on the weekend, you need to call and book a bed or chair in advance.
Most of these beach clubs are also restaurants with indoor seating or hotels that have beautiful rooms that face the ocean. However, you don’t have to be a guest or eat any food at the restaurants to enjoy the beach clubs.
It’s also worth noting that many beach clubs in the Costa del Sol are only open during the summer season from about May to September. Some are open on the weekends during the off-season and some are only open a few days a week even during the high season.

You can simply come to the beach and relax on your own, you don’t *need* to visit any beach clubs in Marbella.
Bed Rental Fees or Minimum Spends
Most of the beach clubs in Marbella have a cover charge. This is to rent a chair or bed that is on the beach or around the pool. That is usually all that you are paying for.
If you want drinks or food, then you will pay for those things on top of the fee to rent the chair.
Some of the very high-end places will include a drink or a bottle of alcohol with the price of the rental since the rental price is so high.
If you want to have a table at some of the beach clubs, especially for the night parties, then some clubs will have a minimum spend of €100 or more depending on the number of guests. The minimum spend should be clear at the time of making the reservation.
Tipping at Beach Clubs in Marbella
While tipping isn’t really part of the culture in Spain, it is part of the luxury service industry around the world.
If you are spending hundreds of Euros at a beach club and you have the same server for your entire day at the beach club, it is generally accepted that you will give them a small tip.
No one is going to stop you from leaving the beach club and it’s not a requirement, but if you feel like the service was great, leaving a tip is a nice way to thank your server.
Take a look at your receipt, because some places may already add a service fee, especially if you are a large group.
Most beach clubs in Marbella are only open during the day, but some stay open well past sunset!
What to Wear to Beach Clubs in Marbella
If you plan to visit one of these beach clubs for a day out with the family, you don’t really have to worry about what to wear. There doesn’t tend to be a dress code during the day at the family-friendly spots.
However, if you plan to enjoy dancing on the beach, listening to DJs, and staying well into the evening, then you may want to consider what to wear to the beach clubs in Marbella.
You’ll be on the sand, so stick to cute sandals that won’t come off your feet too easily (that champagne kicks in quicker in the heat of the summer sun!).
I usually like to pack a change of clothes if I plan to stay from day to night so that I can change out of my bathing suit or at least into a dry bathing suit. Then it’s all about having fun.
Cute cover-ups, dresses, and skirts with your bathing suit as a top. Remember that most of these places are quite high-end, so you want to make sure that you have something cute and stylish. Have a look at the Instagram accounts of the clubs you plan to visit so you know what is acceptable for beachwear at each.
For guys, stylish beachwear never gets old. I always make sure my boyfriend has a nice short-sleeve linen button-down to go with fun bathing suit shorts! They’re good for day and night.
The Best Beach Clubs in Marbella
1. Opium Beach Club
If it’s an Ibiza beach club experience you’re after, you’ll come close to it at Opium Beach Club.
It’s really more of a pool club than a beach club with the party centering around the beach club’s pool. There are lounge chairs that fan out from around the pool and at the far end there is a stage where there is almost always a DJ or band playing music throughout the day and well into the night.
You have to book separately for day and night, they have different pricing structures for the two times of day as well.
Due to the popularity, you should make sure you book your beds for the daytime as early as possible. Check their calendar to book and you will also be able to see the prices for each of the different beds and tables when making your booking.
If you want to see the DJs by night, be sure to book as far in advance as possible because these nights book out sometimes over a month in advance.
2. John Scott’s Beach (formerly Mahiki Beach)
John Scott’s Beach took over what was quite a popular beach club called Mahiki Beach. Now it is more of a restaurant and bar, but this means that their sunbeds are some of the best bargains in Marbella.
It’s a casual place where you can simply come and enjoy a day at the beach with a few drinks and some great food. They have tons of seafood here with some of the best fish and chips in Marbella on the menu.
They are open all year round so you can still enjoy their food and drinks on the beach during the low season. During the summer, a single sunbed costs €20 and includes a glass of beer or wine. A day bed costs €80 and includes a bottle of cava.

3. Nikki Beach Club Marbella
Nikkie Beach Club is one of the most famous beach clubs in Marbella.
They’re famous for their champagne parties. Which, by the name, you can gather are quite expensive to attend.
With locations in places like Santorini, Mallorca, and Dubai, you know that Nikki Beach Club is all about luxury and that is what you get from the moment you arrive at this plush Marbella beach club.
This year, they are open from April 14th to October 1st and the day beds during July and August are already getting booked out, so be sure to book yours on their website now.
This party area around the pool is for 18+ adults only, so not an option for families. However, if you want to enjoy a day at the beach with your family, you can make a reservation at the beach location of the club where all ages are welcome.
Whichever location you book, you can enjoy the incredible food available from the restaurant at Nikki Beach Club, which should not be missed. I love the fresh oysters and black pepper calamari, but you can’t go wrong with any of the seafood on the menu.
Prices are a reflection of the luxury experience you have at Nikkie Beach Club, but if you are going with a group, the price per person isn’t actually that bad:

- €463.50 for a beach bed in the beach area for up to 4 people
- €515 for the Ultimate Bed which is on the Champagne terrace for up to 6 people

4. Marbella Club
Marbella Club beach club reminds me of the beach clubs in Sorrento with their chairs and umbrellas along boardwalks so that you don’t have to get sandy, but you can still catch some sun.
This is definitely one of the more upscale beach clubs in Marbella. There is a pool and beach access, a fantastic outdoor bar with table service, and amazing views.
This isn’t the place to come if you want a wild party, but if you want a classy day out in the sun, you’ll love Marbella Club. Make a booking on their website to ensure you get a table on the pier.

5. Bono Beach Club
Bono Beach Club is one of my personal favorite beach clubs in Marbella.
It is everything you want from a chic beach club. For starters, you are at the beach, not by the pool.
They recently renovated their whole setup, so the beds are beautiful wooden structures that are big enough for 2-4 people to lounge on.
They have palapa-style umbrellas and you are just steps from the Mediterranean Sea with white sand all around you.
You are already in paradise when you vacation in Marbella, and Bono Beach Club is just making it more enjoyable for you to basque in that paradise.
An individual sunbed costs €30 per person and includes a towel and a bottle of water. If you want a “Balinese” bed as they call it, which fits up to 3 people, it costs €200 during the week and €250 on the weekends.
The Balinese bed price also includes a bottle of Cava or wine, two towels, two bottles of water, and a fruit platter, so you are getting a little bit more for your money.

6. Ocean Club Marbella
Located in the luxurious Puerto Banus, Ocean Club is the place where everyone goes to see and be seen.
If there is one place to party while you are in Marbella (if that’s your thing), then this is the place to make a reservation.
They have special events that take place throughout the summer which is when you can expect to see DJs, dancers in fun costumes, and champagne being sprayed all over the place.
Outside of those parties, especially during the week, it is actually quite a chill environment since the cost of the beds is pretty high. If you want to come on the weekends, you may get to enjoy some DJ music, but mostly this is reserved for the party dates which are listed on the booking page of the website.

7. La Sala by the Sea
La Sala by the Sea makes you feel like you’ve been transported to the beaches of Thailand rather than southern Spain but in the best possible way (and without the oppressive humidity).
There are a few different areas at this Marbella beach club where you can hang out including at a bed by the pool, simply at the bar for a few drinks, at a table in the restaurant, or along the beach at one of their umbrella-covered chairs.
The pool is where all of the action happens and where, of course, the beds are the most expensive. You can rent individual beds or large multi-person beds that line the outer edges of the pool.
Most weekends you can enjoy DJ music and a bit of pool dancing. Just be sure to pre-book your beds well in advance on these days. They book out very quickly for the days of their summer parties. Book on their website here.
The beds are incredibly affordable if you want to head to the beach. You can rent an individual chair for only €15 per person. In comparison, a single pool bed costs €55 per person. And these are just the prices for the weekdays.
On weekends a beach bed is €20 and a pool bed is €65. If you want larger beds for multiple people it starts at €120 for two people and goes up to €375 for up to 8 people.
8. The Point Marbella
This is one of the best beach clubs in Marbella for chilling by the pool with the sound of the Mediterranean as your soundtrack.
It’s a place for couples, solo beach-goers, and families who just want to relax in a gorgeous setting and who want to eat well.
The Point Marbella is the most family-friendly of all of the beach clubs in Marbella. There are activities for teenagers like jetski rentals or simply swimming in the pool which has no age restrictions.
The food here is exceptional with everything from juicy burgers to top-quality sushi. The king prawn and crayfish paella is particularly delicious if you have a few people to share it with.

9. Cocoa Beach Marbella
One of the few places on this list that is a true beach club in Marbella, head here for a touch of glamor while still wiggling your toes in the sand.
Cocoa Beach is the place to come to relax on the beach with a delicious cocktail in hand (their palomas are my personal favorite).
Throughout the summer they host events where they will have DJs and dance parties on the sand, but for most of the summer, you can simply book a bed and enjoy access to this beach and food from their exceptional restaurant.
They make some of the best croquettes I’ve had outside of Madrid and the shrimp croquettes are particularly delicious.
The menu is smaller if you opt to eat on the beach. So I recommend spending the morning at the beach and having an early dinner or starting with lunch at the restaurant and then enjoying an afternoon of sunshine on the beach.

10. Amare Beach
Amare Beach is one of the best beach clubs in Marbella for mixing relaxing beach days with fun party nights.
Throughout the week they have beach parties with DJs at night, but during the day it’s a great beach club with fun cocktails, good food, and affordable day beds.
The beach club and restaurant are 16+ only, so it’s fine for families with older teenagers, but it’s not an option for those with young children.
One of the great things about Amare Beach is its location. If you are staying in downtown Marbella, then you can simply walk to this Marbella beach club or grab a taxi to get here quicker if you’re staying a bit further away.

11. Siroko Beach Club
Siroko Beach Club is a Marbella beach club that has a little something for everyone.
There’s the family garden where young children are free to play. There’s even a bouncy castle there for them to play on.
Then there is a beach area with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and drink service.
If you want to eat, you can grab a table either on the beach or in the restaurant to dine. The food here is one of the many reasons this is one of the best beach clubs in Marbella.
In the evenings throughout the summer, they have events with DJs, live jazz musicians, and fun dancing. You can see all the events or book a table on their website.
12. Luma Beach
The main reason to come to Luma Beach is to enjoy the food from their restaurant.
The beach club here is wonderful and there are affordable day beds that you can rent (just be sure to book ahead on their website).
But you will also want to make sure you book a table at their restaurant at some point on your trip to Marbella.
The terrace is the ideal place to enjoy plenty of sunshine as well as the restaurant’s food. These tables get booked out first, so be sure to book a few days in advance for dinner.
Bring your friends because the menu is mostly about sharing plates, especially seafood dishes like prawns, salmon, tuna, and sea bass. But there are also meat dishes on the menu and several vegan and vegetarian options.
The prices here are about average when compared to other restaurants around Marbella with share plates ranging from €12-20 and main dishes between €18-30.
Puerto Banus in Marbella is the place to come to see some beautiful yachts (or to go out on one yourself!).
13. La Cabane
The Beach Club La Cabane is located at the Los Monteros Spa & Golf Resort which is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Marbella heading towards Malaga.
It’s a little bit out of the way, but well worth the journey if you want to enjoy a little bit of a relaxing beach and spa day.
This is the perfect beach club in Marbella for a girl’s trip or a romantic couple’s getaway.
It’s open for the weekends in May and September and then every day for June, July, and August.
Sun loungers start at €45 per person and include a towel. A cabin for two is €110 and a VIP bed for two is €240.
If you opt to stay at the hotel, the prices for the VIP beds are discounted and the regular sunloungers are included in your hotel rate.
